How to use the Isomac Macinino Professional
Setup
- Fill the bean hopper if required by removing the hopper lid and filling from the top. Replace the lid after filling.
- Switch on the main power swtich (select the rocker switch on the left hand side of the chassis).
- Adjust the grind as required to suit your machine and coffee beans.
Adjusting the grind.
- Follow the setup procedure so that the machine is prepared for grinding coffee.
- Small adjustments in the grind setting will have a significant impact on espresso extraction, it is advisable to adjust the grind one increment at a time. After each adjustment test the result by extracting a shot on your espresso machine.
- Lower the locking pin by pressing and holding the button on the left of the chassis.
- Rotate the collar to adjust the grinder. Rotate clockwise to make the grind finer, rotate the collar anti-clockwise to make the grind more coarse.
- When the desired setting is achieved release the locking pin to secure the grind setting.
Grind coffee for espresso
- Follow the setup procedure so that the machine is appropriately calibrated and prepared for grinding coffee.
- Take the heated portafilter from the espresso machine and ensure the basket is cleaned and dry.
- Hold the portafilter flat and level and push it into the front of the grinder below the dosing chute until the side of the portafilter housing touches the microswitch.
- Press the portafilter against the microswitch to initiate grinding.
- When sufficient ground coffee has been dosed withdraw the portafilter slightly to stop grinding.
