Backflushing disc for commercial and domestic espresso machines. This is a useful alternative to inserting a dedicated backflushing blind filter into your powrtafilter. Simply insert the backflushing disc into the bottom of the double filter basket so that it obscured the holes in the bottom of the basket.

Compatibility

Suitable for use on espresso machines fitted with a manual or electric three way solenoid valve. This includes espresso machines with e61 style group heads.

How to back flush your machine

Wipe clean your portafilter and place the backflush disc in the bottom of the double basket. Add a small measure of cleaning product. Insert the portafilter into the group and operate the coffee delivery function until the pressure builds, the switch off the coffee delivery function. Cleaning product and water is vented behind the shower screen and out of the drain valve. Allow cleaner to soak and repeat cleaning function until all cleaning powder has been consumed. Rince the portafilter and repeat without cleaning powder to remove residue.
